EFFECTIVE VENOUS IMAGING

Diagnostic Imaging

Modern diagnostic imaging It is the foundation of effective treatment for venous diseases. In the past, many therapeutic decisions were made almost "by feel" – technology did not allow us to accurately visualize what was happening within the patient's veins, why certain dysfunctions were occurring, or how to approach them from a procedural standpoint. Knowledge of venous anatomy, anatomical variations, and how different vessels interact with one another was limited by the capabilities of the equipment available at the time.

Today, the situation is entirely different. Doppler ultrasound has become the gold standard in venous diagnostics – it is our fundamental tool that allows for a precise assessment of your veins before initiating any treatment. Thanks to advanced diagnostic imaging, we can not only plan the therapy with high accuracy but also monitor its effectiveness.

INTRODUCTION

In cases requiring more detailed diagnostics (so-called extended venous diagnostics), advanced imaging techniques are employed, such as Magnetic Resonance Venography (MRV) or Computed Tomography Venography (CTV). Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) / Phlebography are methods typically reserved for use during corrective venous procedures.

WHAT SETS US APART

The Phlebology Clinic is home to a unique team of specialists who combine expertise across various fields of vascular medicine.

In one location, we bring together:

  • radiologists and diagnosticians;
  • phlebologists specializing in venous duplex ultrasound diagnostics;
  • interventional radiologists;
  • proctologists;
  • general surgeons, oncological surgeons, and vascular surgeons.

This interdisciplinary collaboration ensures a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and treatment of venous diseases. The Phlebology Clinic offers a full range of diagnostic imaging using a proprietary strategy for comprehensive venous system imaging, with particular emphasis on:

  • comprehensive diagnostics of venous insufficiency
    (we hold the extensive experience in this field in Poland);
  • diagnostics of venous thrombosis;
  • assessment of retroperitoneal varices,
    pelvic varices, pelvic floor and vulvar varices, as well as lower limb varicose veins;
