DERMATOSURGICAL PROCEDURES IN PHLEBOLOGY?

Dermatosurgical Procedures

Dermatosurgery is a specialized field of medicine focused on the surgical treatment of skin and subcutaneous tissue lesions. At the Clinic of Phlebology, we combine years of experience in vascular, general, and oncological surgery with precise dermatosurgical techniques. This allows us to offer comprehensive treatment not only for venous diseases but also for the accompanying skin lesions that occur throughout their course.

INTRODUCTION

Dermatosurgical procedures are typically performed in an outpatient setting, utilizing modern equipment and maintaining the highest safety standards. Each procedure is preceded by thorough ultrasound diagnostics, which allows for the precise determination of the lesion's nature and the planning of the optimal removal method.

WHAT CAN BE TREATED WITH DERMATOSURGERY?

Within the scope of dermatosurgical procedures, a variety of skin and subcutaneous lesions can be removed, including:

  • benign lesions, such as: soft fibromas (skin tags), lipomas, sebaceous cysts,
    cysts, or seborrheic keratoses
  • vascular lesions: small (often already obliterated) vascular malformations,
    angiomas (spider angiomas), pyogenic granulomas, or residual lesions following phlebological procedures
  • atypical pigmented nevi, suspicious skin lesions, or lesions of unclear
    nature (requiring histopathological verification)

MOST COMMON DERMATOSURGICAL PROCEDURES PERFORMED AT THE CLINIC OF PHLEBOLOGY

At the Clinic of Phlebology, we perform the following dermatosurgical procedures:

  • removal of benign lesions, such as: fibromas, lipomas, warts, or sebaceous cysts;
  • removal of residual venous malformations (previously excluded from circulation
    using endovenous methods).

Each of the above procedures is performed under local anesthesia, using state-of-the-art techniques to minimize the risk of visible scarring. After the procedure, the Patient receives detailed instructions regarding wound care and dates for follow-up visits. We invite you for a surgical consultation, during which an experienced surgical specialist will assess the type of lesion and propose the most appropriate method for its removal or an alternative treatment approach.
